Artist’s Statement:
“ArtSense: TechCore” represents the heart and soul of my artistic and technological explorations over the past four years. This installation is a testament to the countless hours spent experimenting, learning, and creating. By displaying the very hardware that powered my projects, I aim to provide a tangible connection to the creative process and the technical foundations that underpin my work.
Concept and Inspiration:
The concept behind “TechCore” is to physically manifest the intersection of art and technology. Throughout my studies, I have delved into various technologies, from microcontrollers and sensors to advanced computing and AI. This piece brings together the tools and components that have been integral to my projects, creating a sculptural representation of the technological journey.
Process and Techniques:
• Component Selection: The installation features key hardware components such as microcontrollers, sensors, and other electronics used in my projects. These components are carefully arranged to form a cohesive structure.
• Interactive Display: A small monitor connected to a Raspberry Pi runs a program that cycles through images and videos of the projects created using these components. This adds an interactive element, allowing viewers to see the practical applications of the hardware.
• Structural Design: The wooden pot and art white plinth provide a stable and aesthetically pleasing base for the installation. The cables and electronic components are arranged in a way that highlights their functional and artistic aspects.
Interactive Element:
The small monitor connected to the Raspberry Pi serves as an interactive element, displaying a rotating gallery of the various projects that these components have been used in. Viewers can see the evolution of my work and gain insights into the creative process.
Exhibition Context:
Positioned on a different floor from the other works in the ‘ArtSense’ series, “TechCore” emphasizes the technical aspect of my artistic journey. The distinct placement within the exhibition underscores the diverse skills and knowledge developed over the years, offering viewers a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of art and technology.
